Hi, I’m Charlynn.

I’m happiest when I’m making something…baking bread, arranging flowers, working in the garden, setting a beautiful table, or dreaming up the little details that make a gathering feel special.

Creating has always been part of who I am. But even more than that, I love creating for people. I love the thought that something I’ve made might become part of someone’s celebration, be given as a gift, sit in the middle of a family table, or simply make an ordinary day feel a little more beautiful.

Bread, Butter & Basil grew naturally from all of the things I love.

It began with a simple idea that has always felt like home to me: to love someone is to feed them—and feed them well.

That philosophy extends far beyond food. To me, hospitality is about making people feel welcome and cared for. Sometimes that looks like a warm loaf of sourdough. Sometimes it’s flowers spilling across a table, a beautiful grazing spread, fresh herbs from the garden, or a gathering where every little detail has been thoughtfully considered.

I’m drawn to things that feel timeless rather than perfect—French countryside gardens, old recipes, natural textures, beautiful linens, flowers that look freshly gathered, bread still warm from the oven, and tables meant to be lingered around.

And when I’m not creating for Bread, Butter & Basil, much of my life revolves around home and family. Those everyday moments are a constant reminder of why I love this work in the first place. The most meaningful things in life are so often the simplest: feeding people we love, opening our homes, celebrating well, and finding beauty in the ordinary.

Bread, Butter & Basil is my way of sharing a little of that with you.
